This boy’s feet cost Rs10 lakh

Akshay Kumar has promised DID Li’L Masters’ season-2 winner Faisal Khan a Bollywood break

DID Li’L Masters’ season-2 winner Faisal Khan, the son of an autorickshaw driver, talks to Ritika Arora. Akshay Kumar has promised him a Bollywood break
Last year, when 13-year-old Faisal Khan joined the Dance India Dance Li’L Masters auditions, he had to return home, disappointed.
His mentors advised him to learn professional dance, and Faisal spent an entire year juggling between studies and various dance forms. This year, he participated once again, to win the Master Blaster title, a trophy, and walked away with
Rs10,00,000.
Faisal was part of ‘Prince Ki Paltan.’ “I have learnt dance for four years. My parents supported me throughout. They also made sure I do well academically,” said Faisal.
So what’s his favorite dance style? “Hip-hop. But in the show, I learned contemporary, jazz, classical,” he responded. Faisal grew up watching Hrithik Roshan and Shahid Kapoor. “I copied their steps while dancing on TV. My choreographer Prince is fabulous. And He never shouted at me,” he added.
Faisal is from Ghatkopar, Mumbai. His father is an autorickshaw driver. His mother is a housewife.
“I study in eighth standard. No one in my family is as passionate about dance as I am. But when I told my parents about my interest, they encouraged me.”
So what will he do with the money? He replied, “My parents invested it. I’ll continue learning dancing,  because I want to be a like Remo D’Souza and Terrence Lewis.”
Sharing his experience of being on the show, he said, “I would get nervous before a performance. And when others got good feedback from the judges. There were times I felt I would lose it. But I rehearsed. Prince would motivate me. And before each performance, I would think about my dance guru. He would tell me to relax and give my best.”
The 13-year-old has been promised his first Bollywood break by actor Akshay Kumar. Faisal is on cloud nine… He plans to celebrate the victory with his family and friends.
