This boy’s feet cost Rs10 lakh

Akshay Kumar has promised DID Li’L Masters’ season-2 winner Faisal Khan a Bollywood break

DID Li’L Masters’ season-2 winner Faisal Khan, the son of an autorickshaw driver, talks to Ritika Arora. Akshay Kumar has promised him a Bollywood break
Last year, when 13-year-old Faisal Khan joined the Dance India Dance Li’L Masters auditions, he had to return home, disappointed.
His mentors advised him to learn professional dance, and Faisal spent an entire year juggling between studies and various dance forms. This year, he participated once again, to win the Master Blaster title, a trophy, and walked away with
Rs10,00,000.
Faisal was part of ‘Prince Ki Paltan.’ “I have learnt dance for four years. My parents supported me throughout. They also made sure I do well academically,” said Faisal.
So what’s his favorite dance style? “Hip-hop. But in the show, I learned contemporary, jazz, classical,” he responded. Faisal grew up watching Hrithik Roshan and Shahid Kapoor. “I copied their steps while dancing on TV. My choreographer Prince is fabulous. And He never shouted at me,” he added.
Faisal is from Ghatkopar, Mumbai. His father is an autorickshaw driver. His mother is a housewife.
“I study in eighth standard. No one in my family is as passionate about dance as I am. But when I told my parents about my interest, they encouraged me.”
So what will he do with the money? He replied, “My parents invested it. I’ll continue learning dancing,  because I want to be a like Remo D’Souza and Terrence Lewis.”
Sharing his experience of being on the show, he said, “I would get nervous before a performance. And when others got good feedback from the judges. There were times I felt I would lose it. But I rehearsed. Prince would motivate me. And before each performance, I would think about my dance guru. He would tell me to relax and give my best.”
The 13-year-old has been promised his first Bollywood break by actor Akshay Kumar. Faisal is on cloud nine… He plans to celebrate the victory with his family and friends.

Shreyas Talpade supports Akshay; criticizes rumours against him

There was a time around a decade ago when there were murmurs around Akshay Kumar sitting during the editing of his films and ensuring 'healthy cuts' so that the film's continuity could be maintained and it didn't lose focus. It is a different matter that some of his co-stars weren't overtly pleased with the outcome, more so since they felt that they were being short-changed. However just like every storm, this one too settled down over a period of time, what with Akshay continuing to work in many a multistarrer and his co-stars no more complaining. Same holds true for his partner of two films, Shreyas Talpade, as well.

"After working with him in HOUSEFULL 2 and now JOKER, I am rather surprised that people made such accusation at one point in time. I think it was all rumour. I wasn't short-changed in HOUSEFULL 2 despite he as well as John (Abraham) and Riteish (Deshmukh) being there. Now even for JOKER I haven't seen him snipping around parts of others. I think it was just some ideal mind at play who spread these rumours because I truly feel that Akshay is a great guy to work with. There has been absolutely no problem while sharing screen with him and everyone has enjoyed his or her place under the sun," says Shreyas.

CHECK OUT: Is Shreyas Talpade turning Khan siblings' 'ghar ka hero'?

For someone who has been a part of many big money spinning multistarrers like GOLMAAL series as well as OM SHANTI OM, Shreyas maintains high regard for Akshay.

"Whenever he is on sets, you just cannot get bored. He constantly keeps doing something. Either he would be playing pranks or sharing jokes. He is someone who is 'being positive' personified. Period," he comments.

Here is hoping that this positive spirit finds its presence in JOKER as well which is all set for 31st August release.
