Akshay Kumar loves the action hero tag

Bollywood’s Khiladi Akshay Kumar loves action and comedy, but insists that he prefers being tagged as an action hero.

“While I enjoy both these labels, somewhere in my heart, I love the action one more,” confessed the 45-year-old star recently. “ However, it’s easy to kick, and very difficult to make someone laugh,” he added. And soon, the actor will be seen bringing both comedy and action together, in his upcoming film Khiladi 786, which releases in December this year. It will also see Asin, Paresh Rawal and Himesh Reshammiya in pivotal roles.

Currently Akshay is busy promoting his next release, OMG! Oh My God. About his belief in god, the actor said: “I am a believer. But more than god, I believe in my parents, in what they say and after them, I believe in God.”

Akshay made a comeback to the action genre after seven years with his recent hit Rowdy Rathore and was later seen in the sci-fi film Joker, which didn’t fare well at the box-office.

Rare Pic "Akshay Kumar"

When Akki made a street urchin smile

A street urchin kept following Akshay Kumar through his shoot until Akshay met her personally.
Recently Akshay Kumar was shooting a special song, 'Mere Nishaan' in the SoBo streets of Mumbai for the film OMG Oh My God. By now, we all know that Akshay plays a modern day Lord Krishna in the film. The song is special as it portrays God's vision of his own created world which would surely make it an interesting watch.

While shooting the song in different parts of town, Akshay and the unit found one common thing everywhere they went, a street urchin, Ambar! "Small little Ambar happened to be a big fan of Akshay Kumar and when she came to know he was shooting in the vicinity, she left no stone unturned to catch a glimpse of the star. She followed him all around all day long", says a unit-hand.

Finally when the news reached Akshay, he met Ambar and made the girl's dream come true and made her smile. Seems like Akshay's screen image of God is rubbing off in real life what with him making people's dreams come true in reality!

Akshay Kumar: It's very difficult not to get along with Sonakshi Sinha

By Joginder Tuteja, Glamsham Editorial
Sonakshi Sinha has joined Akshay Kumar in Muscat where they are now shooting their third film together, ONCE UPON A TIME IN MUMBAAI 2. This also makes the pairing one of the most prolific in the recent times.

"Sonakshi is clearly a favourite when it comes to Akshay Kumar and Salman Khan. Though there were stray rumours around Salman being a tad unhappy with Sonakshi, all of that is just hearsay with no basis whatsoever. On the other hand Akshay Kumar is finding a new 'jodi' for himself in the form of Sonakshi Sinha," states an observer.
While one waits to see the results of ONCE UPON A TIME IN MUMBAAI 2 where she shares a love triangle of sorts with Akshay Kumar and Imran Khan, one is inclined to ask the 'khiladi' superstar about his now prolific leading pairing with Sonakshi.
"With Sonakshi it's very difficult not to get along," smiles Akshay, "We eat the same, laugh the same and both of us love our work. As for being a prolific pair then well, this is only our third movie. Only time will tell just how prolific Kumar and Sinha really are."
Well, with talks of more films in the pipeline for Sonakshi Sinha and ONCE UPON A TIME IN MUMBAAI 2 carrying very good vibes already, guess audience would be seeing a lot more of this pair in years to come.
